Worked out on Friday and Saturday, at Bally's and St. Louis Workout. I think after my guest pass to Bally's expires, I'm heading to STL Workout:
1) It's closer.
2) Very homo/bi/hetero-friendly (although, my paranoia makes me feel like it's a bit cruisy, but I'm sure that's just me being over-aware of others; I had the exact opposite feeling at Bally's, where I felt that it was hard *not* to notice some of the hard bodies working out, because I knew it was a bit of a taboo. *shrug*)
3) It's Cheaper, and there are no contracts. (Huzzah!)
4) I know that I've got at least one workout partner, in Greg H., who's been going there for a few years. That's got to be a plus, having someone who will keep me going every morning, and isn't afraid to work out at 5:30 am. It's a win-win situation, I think.
5) More cardio. More machines. Smaller free-weight section, but I'm not too worried about that one at the moment.
Anyhoo, I'm a bit sore after two consecutive days. Ouch, says my abs, my pecs, and my upper back. Surprisingly, despite doing the leg sled two days in a row, they're keeping up well. I think today, it's a little yoga, to keep me stretched out, then I'm taking it easy the rest of the day.

As mentioned on my other blog, I've decided to actually do something about my fat ass this year. And I think the website has enough helpful advice, etc. to keep me sticking with it.
Below are my Body Fat Analysis, Measurements, and other things from the website. Let's see how it improves in three months, eh? Of course, I'm not *actually* starting until the weigh-in, on January 7th. If I'm going to try to quit smoking this week, I need a little leeway in my eating habits, I think. BTW, I've had 6 cigarettes today. Much better than my 1-2 packs per day usual chimney, but still not quite there yet.

Ok, well I've been working out for the past few days, and I'm surprisingly motivated to stick with it. And since I've been sleeping *all the damned time* these past few weeks, I think my body is welcoming the pleasant unslovenly change. Now, if I could just quit smoking. . . I think I'll quit smoking all the time when I'm finding something (e.g. a job) to take up some more of my time during the day. However, right now, I spend my days vegged out in front of the tv or sleeping before class. Grrr. . .
I think my next goal (starting tomorrow) is to start drinking lots of water again. I've been drinking entirely too much soda these days.

Alas, I'm still smoking a few cigarettes. However, I had to change mom's flat tire this morning, and she was freaking out 'cause Dad was freaking out because she wasn't there yet. *sigh* Anyway, my exact quit date was at noon today on Quit.net, so I'm not really cheating yet.
I'm sure that whatever I decide to do, it'll be better than what I've been doing. Yesterday, I had Jack In the Box. Ultimate Cheeseburger, Bacon and Cheddar Wedges. Go out in style, eh. Plus I had a few beers, and about a pack and a half of cigarettes. Bah!

But here's an update for the day. I've finished a pack of cigarettes, had 2 steak tacos and nachos from Taco Bell, and a breast and leg from Popeyes + KFC Cole Slaw and Mashed Potatoes. I've also drank about three liters of Dr. Pepper. That'll be my ultimate downfall, besides the smokes.

Had two boston creme donuts, a cup of coffee, and am finishing about half of a liter of Dr. P. I'll probably finish this pack while I update my blog, and check some email. I'm gonna head up to the hospital to check up on dad, so I'll imagine I'll smoke four or five while I'm driving. I'm a horrible chain smoker when I'm driving.

Well, I've decided that on the first, I think I'm going to try the Atkins Diet thing. I know Jen's Dad Steve had some success with it, and since I usually only eat a meal or two a day, I figured it won't be that hard to give up carbs.
Anyway, I decided to stop at the Hampton Liquor Store, the closest liquor store to my house, on my way home from paying my Sprint Bill. I wanted to see if they had Anchor Steam Beer, and luckily, they did. I decided to splurge since if I start atkins, I won't be drinking beer, or any alcohol for quite a while through my "Induction" phase.
BTW, I think I'm going to record my food and smoking habits for tomorrow and Thursday, just so I can compare and contrast.

I'm warning you now, this is going to be a boring blog. I'm just going to record day by day how much I smoke, what I'm eating, and when I'm working out. It's mostly so I can keep track, but you might get a kick out of it. I figure this way, I'll really be able to see how much I smoke, drink, and eat, as well as how lazy I am. Either it will be motivation, because I can see if I'm improving, or it'll drive me to the dark side, by showing me that I really could have more fun being lazy and smoking. :)

Ok. . Here's the deal. I've decided that since I'm going to quit smoking on November 1st, I've decided to start anew all the way. Maybe that way, I'll keep myself busy enough to actually quit smoking. It couldn't hurt.
